The grill is off to the side, the cooler's by the door, and the patio table holds whatever doesn’t fit in the kitchen. You've got the space and the people to use it. What's missing is a setup that actually works: somewhere to cook and stay outside without running back inside every ten minutes.
Altimate Outdoor has been serving residential and commercial properties across Ohio since 1982. We design and install custom outdoor kitchens built around how you want to use the space, whether that means casual weekend cookouts or full outdoor dining setups. If you’re looking into outdoor kitchens in Dayton, we offer free design consultations, so it’s easy to explore your options.
Our Approach to Outdoor Kitchens
With Altimate Outdoor, every outdoor kitchen project starts differently. Some clients work with an existing covered patio, while others start from bare concrete. We design our installations around each individual property, so you end up with a space that fits how you really want to live.
We build outdoor kitchens with Challenger Designs cabinetry, engineered specifically for outdoor environments. These cabinets resist harsh weather without constant upkeep, and configuration options range from simple grilling stations to fully outfitted cooking and entertaining spaces.

Outdoor Kitchens for Residential & Commercial Properties
We work with homeowners to extend their backyards into functional outdoor living spaces and with commercial properties to add outdoor dining capacity. Restaurants and hospitality venues benefit from expanded seating without full interior buildouts.
Every project starts with an on-site consultation to understand the space's unique needs.
The Building Blocks of a Better Backyard
Between sticky August afternoons and cold snaps that show up out of nowhere in April, plenty of backyards sit empty more months than not. With a thoughtful combination of structures and features, that window can stretch a lot further.
Here's what we build to help make that happen:
Pergola X's motorized louvered roof opens for full sun or closes down when the clouds move in. Backed by commercial-grade aluminum and smart controls, it puts you in control of your shade throughout the day rather than leaving it to the weather.
Cabana X is built for flexibility, with layouts, finishes, and add-ons you can shape around your patio, pool, or dining area. It's less about a fixed design and more about building something around exactly how you use your yard.

Motorized retractable screens let you lower protection when you need it and tuck it away completely when you'd rather have an open view. A touch of a button is often the only thing standing between you and more evenings outside.

Cooking outside changes the whole feel of a gathering, and a well-planned kitchen makes that a lot easier to pull off. We build ours around Challenger Designs cabinetry, which holds up to Ohio's swings in temperature and humidity far better than off-the-shelf options.

Closing in an open porch cuts down on bugs and weather without losing that outdoor feel you're after. We design each enclosure around your existing porch, so it looks like it was always part of the home rather than an addition tacked on later.
Furniture is often the last piece of an outdoor project, but it's what makes the whole area feel complete. We steer homeowners toward pieces that can handle Ohio weather year after year, so the finished look holds up as well as it looks on day one.
Comfort and shade features are often what turn an outdoor area from something you walk through into somewhere you stay. We help homeowners choose additions based on how they'll use the space daily, not just how it looks in photos.
Proper drainage keeps water away from your foundation, landscaping, and any nearby outdoor structures. We plan placement and protection early in a project, so water is directed away from your property instead of pooling where it shouldn't.
Invite more customers into your space with a custom built commercial patio or three seasons room.

Other Outdoor Living Structures in Dayton
An outdoor kitchen often anchors a larger outdoor living setup. The most usable spaces combine cooking setups with coverage, enclosure, or shade. We install complementary structures in the Dayton area that pair well with outdoor kitchen builds.
StruXure Pergola Installations
StruXure pergolas use a patented louvered roof system that adjusts to let in light or close off rain, with built-in sensors that respond automatically. This coverage makes outdoor kitchens usable well beyond the sunny summer months.
Retractable Screen Installations
Retractable screens control insects and wind, letting you enclose or open a covered space depending on the conditions. They work alongside pergolas or any covered kitchen setup.
Cabana-X Installations
For properties wanting a dedicated covered outdoor area, Cabana X structures offer a purpose-built option that works well on its own or complements a full outdoor kitchen setup.
