Columbus backyards come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but what many lack is a kitchen setup. Altimate Outdoor designs and installs custom outdoor kitchens in Columbus, helping Ohio homeowners build functional outdoor spaces that serve a real purpose.
Between humid Columbus summers and harsh winters, outdoor surfaces take a beating, especially when the finish isn't up to the job. We install materials that are built to last, with commercial-grade construction and powder-coated finishes throughout. Whether you’re looking for a grilling station or a full kitchen for entertaining, we can help.
Custom Outdoor Kitchens for Local Homes
An outdoor kitchen is a permanent installation designed around your space and cooking style. We also offer prefabricated systems for homeowners who want a faster path to a finished kitchen. Either way, our in-house designers work based on your layout and preferences.
Every kitchen we design comes with Challenger Designs cabinetry, which is manufactured specifically for outdoor environments. Configurations vary by project. Some homeowners want a full island with grill and side burners, while others prioritize counter space and storage. We will walk through all your options during your free on-site consultation.

The Building Blocks of a Better Backyard
Between sticky August afternoons and cold snaps that show up out of nowhere in April, plenty of backyards sit empty more months than not. With a thoughtful combination of structures and features, that window can stretch a lot further.
Here's what we build to help make that happen:
Pergola X's motorized louvered roof opens for full sun or closes down when the clouds move in. Backed by commercial-grade aluminum and smart controls, it puts you in control of your shade throughout the day rather than leaving it to the weather.
Cabana X is built for flexibility, with layouts, finishes, and add-ons you can shape around your patio, pool, or dining area. It's less about a fixed design and more about building something around exactly how you use your yard.

Motorized retractable screens let you lower protection when you need it and tuck it away completely when you'd rather have an open view. A touch of a button is often the only thing standing between you and more evenings outside.

Cooking outside changes the whole feel of a gathering, and a well-planned kitchen makes that a lot easier to pull off. We build ours around Challenger Designs cabinetry, which holds up to Ohio's swings in temperature and humidity far better than off-the-shelf options.

Closing in an open porch cuts down on bugs and weather without losing that outdoor feel you're after. We design each enclosure around your existing porch, so it looks like it was always part of the home rather than an addition tacked on later.
Furniture is often the last piece of an outdoor project, but it's what makes the whole area feel complete. We steer homeowners toward pieces that can handle Ohio weather year after year, so the finished look holds up as well as it looks on day one.
Comfort and shade features are often what turn an outdoor area from something you walk through into somewhere you stay. We help homeowners choose additions based on how they'll use the space daily, not just how it looks in photos.
Proper drainage keeps water away from your foundation, landscaping, and any nearby outdoor structures. We plan placement and protection early in a project, so water is directed away from your property instead of pooling where it shouldn't.
Invite more customers into your space with a custom built commercial patio or three seasons room.

Long-Lasting Outdoor Kitchen Installations
The right material separates kitchens that last from those that become ongoing projects. Maintenance-free materials mean no repainting or resealing between seasons. We use Challenger Designs cabinetry because it's built for outdoor environments so that you can enjoy your new space without headaches.
Altimate Outdoor also designs and installs outdoor kitchens for both residential and commercial properties. Columbus restaurants and hospitality venues often use outdoor setups to expand dining capacity and create more distinctive guest experiences.

Outdoor Living Screens & Structures
An outdoor kitchen functions best as part of a complete outdoor living setup. A kitchen without shade or protection from the elements limits usability, so screens and overhead structures complement these installations nicely.
Altimate Outdoor installs a range of outdoor structures, including:
Pergolas: A pergola provides adjustable overhead coverage for light and airflow control.
Cabanas: A cabana creates a fully sheltered outdoor room that you can use year-round.
Retractable Screens: These screens block insects and wind without blocking views.
